Just as its name implies, Eclectic Home blends elements from a variety of sources and styles. Owner and principal designer Penny Francis believes great design should be timeless, yet innovative. With 19 years of interior design experience under their belt, the team at Eclectic Home works on residential and commercial spaces, on everything from complete build-outs to staging for real estate sales. Visit the store on Oak Street for a diverse selection of traditional and contemporary furnishings, decor, and accessories from sources worldwide. Melissa and Adrienne (who also owns Lum, a vintage lighting shop) source items from all over the world, and in this boutique you'll find a blend of tastes and time periods to suit a motley of interiors. Recent finds include an 18th-century French walnut commode, a glass top Karl Springer table from the 1970s, and a large, glittering chunk of druzy crystal.

Those who may be put off by the pricey midcentury modern furnishings at Design Within Reach next door may find objects that feel somewhat more accessible at Modern Market, and their selection is huge—they offer more than 400 lines of furniture and fixtures for residential and commercial spaces. They also offer full architectural and interior design services through their sister company M2 Studio on Hampson Street, which has worked on local residential and commercial spaces including Buff Beauty Bar, and Raw Republic.
